Registration of companies
The registration process involves approval of the proposed name from the Government, submission of the memorandum and articles of association and application to the Commercial Register in the appropriate commune for a trading license.
Legislation
Legislation is based on the French and Spanish civil codes. The main legislation is the Corporations Act 1983. Regulations on company and business names (in Catalan) are available here.
Types of business
Andorran companies may take one of the following forms:
For a commercial company, two-thirds of the capital should be Andorran-owned.
Company information
The Andorran Chamber of Commerce website gives information on companies and business opportunities in the region.
The Chamber has a database containing information on over 4,500 companies registered in Andorra. A list of companies in a given sector can be obtained by completing the form on the website. The Chamber will provide a quotation.
